Pummu Talladega Beginner Guide: First Session Walkthrough

Pummu Talladega drops you onto a superspeedway with a car, a pack of other players, and very little explanation. This guide covers your first session in the order you will actually experience it.

1. Get a car on track

Spawn a car first and drive it alone before joining anything competitive. Handle the throttle and steering without a pack around you - the basics take two minutes and save you from wrecking on lap one.

2. Understand what race mode is

Race mode is the multiplayer loop: you line up with other players and race the oval. Two things matter early:

• The start matters more than you think. Everyone is bunched and impatient. Lifting early for one corner costs you far less than being in a wreck.
• The draft is the whole game. Staying attached to the car ahead is faster than trying to run alone.

3. Survive lap one

Most beginner races end in the first lap, and almost always for the same reason: someone dives a gap that is not there. Practical rules:

• Hold your line for the first lap.
• Do not brake-check the pack behind you.
• If you are wrecked, reset rather than trying to drive a destroyed car.

4. Set up a private server (strongly recommended)

The single best thing a new player can do is practice in a private server with AI opponents. There is no pressure, no one to wreck you, and you learn the track and the draft. Steps are in private servers and AI racing.

5. Make the car yours

Once you can complete laps cleanly, apply a scheme code so the car looks how you want. Start with how to enter scheme codes, then take a code from the full list.

6. Know what is coming

The developer has said a career mode is planned alongside the existing modes, and the game updates roughly weekly. Expect the car roster and race systems to keep shifting.
