Pummu Talladega AI Racing: How to Set Up an AI Race

AI opponents are one of Pummu Talladega's most useful features and its most misunderstood: they only exist in your own private server.

The rule

Per the official game description, to race with AI you need to create and join your own private server. There is no AI in public servers. If you cannot find the AI option, you are almost certainly in the wrong server type.

Setup, in order

1. Create a private server from the game page.
2. Join it and spawn your car.
3. Open the server or race settings in-game and enable AI opponents.
4. Set the field size - a full pack changes how the draft behaves.
5. Start the race.

Settings names shift between updates, so if a label is not where you expect, check the current menu rather than an old guide.

What AI is actually good for

• Learning the draft without being wrecked by impatient players.
• Comparing cars - the same AI field every run makes differences between cars mean something.
• Crash testing - AI wreck behaviour is adjustable, which is why crash-content creators use private servers.

What AI is not good for

AI will not teach you how real players defend a line or how to read a pack's intentions. Treat AI as a practice tool, not a substitute for race mode.
