Soft-body cars are Pummu Talladega's signature physics feature. Instead of breaking into clean pieces, the body panels bend, fold and crumple - which changes how crashes look and behave.
The requirement
The official game description is explicit: soft-body cars can only be spawned in VIP servers. If you want them, a VIP server is not optional.
Why the community cares
- Realistic crash results - deformation instead of instant destruction, which is what crash compilations on YouTube showcase.
- Blowover physics - light cars at speed can go airborne in ways standard physics does not reproduce.
- Testing - useful for anyone studying how the game's collision model behaves.
The trade-off
Soft-body simulation is expensive:
- Lower frame rates, especially on phones and older devices.
- Different handling feel from the standard cars.
- Not the mode for competitive racing - most public race lobbies run standard cars.
